This is a crystalline form of calcium carbonate that occurs naturally in nature.
It is used in aquariums (broken down in tiny pieces) as an alternative to coral sand, calcium carbonate, etc. to buffer water.
- Beware that it may contain more hydrogen than pure calcium carbonate. So may affect pH of the water.
