Requires a spacious tank with plenty of open swimming space as well as some hiding places. Prefers a medium to strong current and can be sensitive to water quality issues. They do require a laterally spacious tank due to their high activity levels.

Behaviour[edit]

A very active shoaling fish.

Identification[edit]

An elongate fish with large eyes in comparison to the head. The body is iridescent silver while the fins have hints of orange with black. The caudal fin is forked.
